Mingle with friends, browse and bid on items in the silent auction, experience our programs and laugh out loud with entertainment provided by Too Many Divas. All proceeds from the evening benefit our adaptive sports programs.
We had a great day for our soccer clinic at St. Michael's College. Each of the 28 participants worked with a buddy from the St. Mike's Women's Soccer Team. After practicing dribbling, trapping and kicking, they all worked up a sweat in the scrimmage game. Many thanks to the St. Michael's College Women's Soccer Team and Coaches Marcel Choquette and Cari Rivett.
Staci Mannella is a rising star, just recently named to the US Paralympic Alpine Ski Team. The NJ Star Ledger interviewed her while she was training in Mt. Hood, Oregon. See the video and read the full feature article on Staci here .
The EDD Memorial Fund has supported Staci through the Adaptive Sports Foundation race training progam in Windham, NY.
Both EDD Soccer Clinics ended with a bang as kids and
coaches raced inside to stay dry.
But wind and rain did not dampen the spirits of the young athletes who
gave their all on the soccer field.
Nearly 60 children and young adults with disabilities attended soccer
skill clinics in Oneonta, NY and Allentown, PA on May 7th.

Nineteen young people enjoyed playing basketball with members of the
Hartwick College Men's Basketball Team. "It was a really good time and the
guys from Hartwick were great!" said one parent.
At the end of the first EDD soccer program in Vermont, players
and volunteers lined up to shake hands after their scrimmage game. There were high fives and hugs between
the players and their volunteer buddies.
The twelve players were all smiling as they left the field after a
satisfying morning of soccer.
Two Adaptive Sports Foundation athletes with EDD Memorial Fund ties found themselves performing on the national and international stages during the 2009-2010 winter season. Caitlin Sarubbi represented the United States as part of the Adaptive Alpine Team at the Vancouver Paralympic Games and Staci Menlla competed in the US Adaptive National Championships at Big Sky, MT.
Join us for an Adaptive Tennis Clinic on Saturday, March 13th at the Oneonta Tennis Club. Children and young adults with disabilities are welcome to attend this free clinic.
