Soccer

EDD Memorial Fund adapted soccer programs are designed around the unique needs of each participant. They celebrate ability and give children with disabilities an opportunity to excel.

Our soccer programs are our most popular clinics throughout the year. We offer these programs in the spring in Allentown, PA and Oneonta, NY. Each half-day clinic features skill-building sessions, games and scrimmages. The sessions end with a pizza party and awards ceremony where each player receives a personalized certificate of accomplishment.

“For once, it was fun to watch my son play from the sideline. Thanks to the Muhlenberg Men’s Soccer Team, every player had a buddy.”

Allentown Soccer Clinic

This clinic is led by volunteers from Muhlenberg College Men’s Soccer Team and is open to children and young adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. The session focuses on improving soccer skills such as dribbling, kicking, and shooting on goal.

“The best part of the program was the amount of help to assure success regardless of disability. This was great!”

Oneonta Soccer Clinic

This clinic is led by volunteers from Hartwick College Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams and is open to children and young adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. We play on the world-class fields at the Soccer Hall of Fame. Since many of the participants have experience playing soccer, this program is organized as a quick skill refresher followed by a mini-tournament. Children who are new to soccer are welcome to participate; they practice skills with supportive volunteers before joining a scrimmage game.
